About the Project

This basement in Pejë was completely unused – dark, damp, and forgotten. The client wanted to turn it into the best room in the house. We designed a multi-zone retreat that combines wellness, entertainment, and storage into one cohesive space.

The wellness area features a custom sauna and a modern jacuzzi surrounded by soft lighting and neutral tones. The entertainment zone has a foosball table and open lounge seating for hanging out with friends. And the storage area uses glass-fronted cabinets that look elegant while keeping everything organized. Strategic lighting throughout eliminates any sense that you are underground.

Design Challenge

Basements are inherently dark and often feel oppressive. The challenge was creating a luxury retreat in a below-grade space with no natural light - and making three very different zones (wellness, entertainment, storage) feel like parts of one coherent design.

Our Solution

Layered artificial lighting is the backbone of the design - ambient, task, and accent lighting work together to create warmth and depth. Premium materials and neutral tones eliminate the underground feel, and the open layout lets each zone flow into the next naturally.
