Doyenne Architectural Studio’s Luxury Basement Transformation in Pejë, Kosovo

Making the Basement Living Space Elegant and Useful

In 2021, Doyenne Architectural Studio did an amazing job of remodelling a basement in Pejë, Kosovo, for client Ylli Demaj. Thanks to architect Flaka Sutaj’s creative direction, this project reimagines basement spaces by turning them into stylish retreats that combine luxury, wellness, and entertainment.

There is a special wellness area in the basement where homeowners can enjoy a spa-like experience without leaving their homes. Key parts are:

– Custom-Built Sauna: This stylish sauna is made to help you relax and get rid of toxins. It also gives you a quiet place to get away from it all.
– Modern Jacuzzi: The jacuzzi is a relaxing place to be because of its clean lines and soft lighting.
– A Calm Atmosphere: The room is even more calming with neutral colours, soft lighting, and high-end finishes. It’s a great place to unwind.

This basement isn’t just a place to relax; it’s also a fun place to hang out with friends and do things you such as:

– Foosball Table: A great addition that makes the space more lively and encourages friendly competition.
– Open Lounge Area: This is a great place to relax and talk with friends or have guests over.

Elegant and smart ways to keep things safe
The design includes a custom wardrobe area that looks nice and is useful at the same time:

– Cabinets with Glass Doors: These stylish storage units keep clothing and footwear organised and visible.
– Optimised shelving: Organised compartments make sure that everything has its own place, so the area stays clean.

What Makes This Basement Layout Stand Out

– Multi-Functional Layout: This space is great for wellness, entertainment, and storage all at the same time.
– High-End Finishes: Using high-end materials and paying close attention to details makes the whole thing look better.
– Good use of space: Every square foot is used to its fullest for both style and function.
